The dock is where I see all the programs I like to use, and I can pick the one I want in style. I drag stuff around with my whole hand, on my one-button mouse. I can adjust the volume on the keyboard, complete with visual feedback, like a TV. When I'm done listening to a CD, I just drag the little CD into the garbage can. The little voices really like being inside my fancy computer, and I can talk to them, and boss them around, since I can use speech to control my whole computer. Concepts like making the window system SEPARATE from running applications, and adopting the tried-and-true Unix system, seem like common sense — like “well, duh” ideas.
Mac users feel like they have awoken to common sense, and want to awaken the sleeping.
It's the drug store sofa, over the dock. With the sweetest inspiration, we don't want to stop.
Cute. Reminds me of when I was making people give me phrases to say when I lost my voice, so I could record them, and send the sound bites (bytes?) to them.
Only this was much more informative.
