The Maté Factor is a neat little café just down the street from my house. They specialize in a special tea from South America called Yerba Maté.

The Manitou locals like to hang out, socialize, and play chess there. It has a wonderful friendly atmosphere that everyone enjoys, even the neanderthals.

The Maté Factor is run by the Twelve (12) Tribes Community in Manitou Springs. They live like the early disciples of Jesus, or as they call him: Yahshua. They all live together in a big brown house with white trim.

The Twelve (12) Tribes Community observes the original Sabbath day—from sundown Frid. until sundown Satur.—by resting. The fourth commandment said to “[r]emember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” God created the world in six (6) days and rested on the seventh (7th). The first (1st) day of the week is Sund. and the seventh (7th) day is Saturd.—the Sabbath.

The Maté Factor is open twenty-four (24) hours a day, six (6) days a week, but closed on Satur., because financial transactions are not supposed to take place on the Sabbath.
On Frid. nights, they celebrate the beginning of the Sabbath with food, fun, and fellowship at their house with white trim. I go to the Frid. night gatherings often, for they are super-fun.
Laying in bed tonight I was thinking, and listening to all the dogs, and the sirens, and the shots, and how a careful man tries to dodge the bullets, while a happy man takes a walk. And maybe it is time to live.
I've always wondered what that 12 tribes thing was all about.
Hey, thanks!
thank you for that informative piece.
